Lunch and Learn - Parkinson Disease Update and Review

Neurologist Maria Moro-De-Casillas will discuss new findings in the pathophysiology of the disease, as well as symptoms that are easily missed and a full review of the treatment options.

A movement disorders specialist, Dr. Moro-De-Casillas is affiliated with Yale-New Haven Hospital and has a practice in New London.

Powerful Tools for Caregivers

Powerful Tools for Caregivers is a six-week education program for family and friends caring for older adults with cognitive and chronic impairment. The program focuses on the self-care of family caregivers.

Class start Wednesday, September 27 through November 1, 2017 from 4:00 - 5:30 pm.

Join Our New Caregiver Support Group

Third Wednesday of the month from 6:00 - 7:30 pm.

This group will provide a safe place for caregivers, family and friends of persons with Alzheimer's or other dementias to:

  • Develop a support system.
  • Exchange practical information on caregiving challenges and possible solutions.
  • Talk through issues and ways of coping.
  • Share feelings, needs and concerns.
  • Learn about community resources.
